In recognition of the 80^th anniversary of VE Day (08^th May) and VJ Day (15^th August) it is our intention to mark the occasion by holding a short ceremony on the date of each one to remember all those who lost their lives in defence of our country.

They will be short ceremonies, similar to Armistice Day, with prayers, two minute silence and hopefully, subject to availability, the Last Post and Reveille.

They will be held at 11am at the Purton Cenotaph and will probably last around ten minutes.

Please join us at the Cenotaph at 11am on Thursday 08^th May/Friday 15^th August to remember all those who gave their lives during the 2^nd World War.
