The Council staff help support both the Councillors and the community.
Debbie joined the Parish Council in March 2015. The role of the Clerk is a permanent non-political appointment. She is the Council’s statutory Head of Paid Service and Proper Officer and is responsible for the overall day-to-day management and running of the Council’s services. Debbie also has responsibility for the implementation of Council decisions and for advising on, developing and carrying out the policies of the Council. Debbie is a member of the Institute of Local Council Management and a Principle Member of the Society of Local Council Clerks.
Stefanie joined the Parish Council in April 2017. Stefanie's role is to support and assist the Clerk in the day to day management of the services whilst administrating the Health and Safety of the Council/Charities and clerking the Recreation Committee meetings.
Angela joined us on 7th August 2023 having previously worked for a local Parish Council in Swindon, Wiltshire. She will be responsible for all day-to-day administration of our financial services for both Council and Charities and will be an asset to the team.
Lesley joined the Council in her current capacity in August 2014. However she previously worked for the Council as Bookings Clerk from her home address for 25 years. Lesley currently administers the day to day operation of the Hall Bookings .
To formalise effective communication streams with the Community. Sue joined the Council in July of 2022. Sue’s role is to bring people together to make positive change with and for our community, by strengthening two-way communication, increasing involvement, and providing engagement opportunities. Sue brings with her a range of Commercial, Parish Council and Voluntary sector experience.
Darren joined us in August 2023 following a successful career at a large Council in Basingstoke. He will lead our grounds maintenance programme and work with the council on achieving our Carbon Neutral goals moving forward. Darren brings a wealth of horticultural knowledge along with a passion for the environment.
David joined the Council in April 2004. David works on a part time basis and assists in the management of the day to day responsibilities of the grounds, including Play Parks, Cemetery and Open Spaces.
Gordon joined the Council in August 2005. Gordon manages the cleaning and general caretaking of the Village Hall and associated buildings.
Amanda joined the Council in April 2018. Amanda cleans the Millennium Hall and associated buildings at The Village Centre.
