Following a number of resident surveys, Purton Council is aware that local people wish to see:

- the site maintained in support of the community;

- more local growing of plants;

- the maintaining and enhancing of village aesthetics;

- and more ground-based planting.

In response, plans are being formulated to demolish the former Youth Club at the start of 2024, in order to create a compound and growing space for the Purton Parish Council Grounds Team.

Work will start in January/February, with the fencing off of the area and the demolition of the existing building before construction commences.

Future ideas also include a potting shed, polytunnel, chipping area and space for community involvement.
