Residents have again raised the issue at a Council meeting last night, regarding the parking of cars in places which may risk accidents, as their placement although legal, creates a block to access or visibility.

In response, Purton Parish Council have communicated a plea, to all, for the sake of themselves and others, to ensure that everyone takes care to park where it is safe and appropriate to do so.

This message comes with the understanding that, life is busy and that parking can be limited, but that regardless the Council must highlight, that convenient parking would never be worth a serious injury or loss of life.

To help everyone to find a better way forwards, Purton Parish Council will be asking for views on parking within the Neighbourhood Plan Revision work, so they are inviting residents who are struggling to park, to come and talk to them at Neighbourhood Plan Revision Consultations on the 27th and 29th of March, so that the need for more parking can be can feed it into future local planning.
