Purton Parish Council announces Community Coronation Garden Party
Back to overviewFebruary 2, 2023
Purton Parish Council will be celebrating the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, with a Coronation Garden Party at the Village Centre in Purton, on Sunday 7thMay, between 11am-8pm.
This family friendly event will be free to attend, and it is hoped that it will offer fun and festivities for all age ranges.
For the youngest, and young at heart, there will be balloon modelling, face painting, ice cream, a bouncy castle and fairground rides.
Adults will be able to enjoy hot food, a chance to socialise, live music from The Beet Routes and of course the Purton Red House bar, which will be open for the day.
It is also hoped that there will be several community and craft stalls to enjoy, to offer a little retail therapy.
And of course, everyone will be able to come together and celebrate the King’s Coronation with a lunch, by bringing their own chairs and picnic blankets.
Parish Clerk, Deborah Lawrence said:
“This is a once in a lifetime historic occasion, which we want to celebrate together as a community. We’re hoping that they’ll be something for everyone to enjoy and that fond memories will be made of the Coronation Weekend.”
If you’re hoping to attend, you only need turn up on the day with garden chairs, picnic blankets and a little spending money to enjoy the day with.
Please note that no parking will be available at this event for attendees.
