Purton Parish Council to serve up Coronation Tea Party to Senior Citizens
Back to overviewFebruary 2, 2023
Marking the Coronation, in a traditional and quintessentially English style, Purton’s senior citizens are being invited to enjoy a free Afternoon Tea at the Purton Village Hall, on Friday 5th May, at 1-3pm.
Our treasured local VIPs will be welcomed to celebrate together with friends, whilst enjoying a selection of cakes, sandwiches, and tea. There will also be a free raffle for everyone to enjoy.
The hall will of course be festooned in the usual union flags, bunting, gingham, traditional tea service and fresh flowers - all hosted by the Purton Parish Council Team.
Parish Clerk, Deborah Lawrence said:
“Everyone so enjoyed coming together to mark the Platinum Jubilee last year, when we had around 60 VIPs taking afternoon tea together, so we thought it would be a lovely way to share this historic occasion.”
The Coronation Tea Party will be free to attend, but you must book in advance due to limited spaces and it being such a popular event.
